ONLINE SHOPPING - CALI GUN LAWS?

Does anyone know what the California law policy is for shipping a magazine to your house? I found a magazine clip online and right before I was about to submit my credit card information I read that ammunition/guns can only be shipped to an address that holds a current FLL. BUT, I'm only ordering a magazine clip. What category does that fall under?
