Do you think Europe's decline and leftist agenda is linked to it's abolition of God?

European nations are becoming ever more secularized. They are a few who would defend the Faith, like President Cameron and the Prime Minister of Germany, however the defenders are largely outnumbered by the non-religious mob. Also it has come to my knowledge that Europe has been declining and is now seeking refuge in the left. I personally think that now Europe has left God, God is leaving Europe. What do you think?
