Why do we buy Chinese made furniture?

The Chinese working conditions are deplorable. There was a nationwide boycot of certain types of clothing not too long ago for bad working conditions. Why can't this happen in the furniture & cabinetry business as well. Let bring the business back to America. Every year we ship a higher percentage of our American sawn hardoo lumber over to Asia, only to buy it back in the from of cabinets and furniture. In the meantime, the Chinese are running their factories like slave shops. People work with no consideration for personal health and for almost no money. No wonder American made products can't compete.
