A good second hand car for a learner driver?

for really tall drivers, the 4 cylander with the best leg room that i've ever driven is the toyota celica. its a 4 cylander that drives like a 6, gets pretty good gas mileage, has great leg room, last forever, automatic and power everything, and depending on the year you can get one in good shape with ok mileage for 4 to 10 grand, and they look pretty sharp too. you really can't beat it. i know, im over 6 foot tall, and leg room is very important, especially with your fiance's hip. hope you find a good car and surprise him. :)
